Parker Schnabel: The biggest difference has been that we don’t have a voice of experience on site. How would you say this season has been different than previous seasons? This year, Parker has continued to head up his own crew and has been learning lessons about management and strategy along the way. During Season 5, Parker worked his crew to the bone and enjoyed a massive haul of gold – over 2.5 million dollars worth. Now, he’s 21 years old and is running a crew of his own.

Parker Schnabel has been featured on Gold Rush since he was fifteen years old. These ratings are due in no small part to the charismatic and fascinating group of men (and occasionally women) that the show follows. Six seasons in, and it continues to be the highest rated show on the network. Gold Rush has certainly brought in a bounty of ratings for the Discovery Channel.
